Welcome to the RK Smith 4-H Club website!
4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults. The 4-H Motto is “To Make the Best Better.” This motto encourages youth to continue to utilize skills learned to improve their well-being and their communities.
Head, Heart, Hands, and Health are the four H’s in 4-H, and they are the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs.

The RKS 4-H Club is accepting new members for the 2020-2021 school year!
What is 4-H? For more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better. In 4‑H programs, students complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, leadership, and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
Who can join? All RKS students are eligible to join the 4-H club.
Who sponsors the club? The RKS 4-H Club is sponsored by Mrs. Calix and Mrs. Green.
When does the club meet? Initially, all 4-H meetings will be held virtually via Google Meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. We hope to move to in-person meetings in January.
How much does it cost? The total club fee is $8; this includes your $3 membership fee that goes straight to the Louisiana 4-H program and a $5 fee that is used to cover the cost of program materials and supplies for our school club.
How do I sign up? To sign up, go online to http://lsuagcenter.com/4henroll and complete the 4-H membership application (make sure you write down your reference number after you submit your application). Then complete the permission slip on the reverse side of this flyer and return it to Mrs. Calix or Mrs. Green with your $8 club fee.
