Ms. Mindy Jones
I’m so excited to join the Administrative Team at R.K. Smith Middle School! This school year is extra special as it marks my 25th year in education. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1–8) from Nicholls State University in 2001 and immediately began my career teaching 5th grade at G.W. Carver Elementary in Hahnville. When Carver merged with Luling Elementary, I continued teaching there until 2011, during which time I also earned my Master’s Degree in Education from Nicholls. In 2011, I transitioned to J.B. Martin Middle School, where I had the joy of teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. Most recently, I was honored to serve as the district’s first Administrative Intern and later as Assistant Principal at Norco Elementary School. I am truly delighted to now be serving the families of R.K. Smith Middle School—especially the children of my former students!
